Welcome to The Association of Tree Officers Website

The Association of Tree Officers (ATO) will promote, support and represent Tree Officers. Administrative control of ATO will be undertaken by the ATO Directors, supported by the National Co-ordinator, Becky Porter.

2pm Welcome by Barbara Milne, ATO Director, who will chair the call.

2.05pm Dr Charles Lane, Consultant Plant Pathologist of Fera Science, will be speaking on this call to ATO members about Observatree, the Tree Health Citizen Science project and their achievements in 2019, a review of emerging pest and pathogens added to the risk register in 2019 with particular reference to beech leaf disease. He will also talk about the International Plant Sentinel Network, another tree health early warning system.

2.30pm Tom Russell-Grant, Tree Officer, Norfolk County Council, A quick update on Ash Dieback in Norfolk focusing on how they have had to alter their inspections in light of Covid-19 and a quick run through findings from their surveys to date.
